Overview

Trauma-Informed Training for Horse and Rider

Fear, Manipulation, Coercion, and Force replaced with Love, Guidance, Partnership, and Gentleness.

"When we feel SAFE, we can learn."

I work from the vantage point of the nervous system with both horse and rider, releasing tension and even past unresolved trauma, freeing up the body and brain to connect and rewire from a state of calm/alert - able to show up to whatever disciple and day with the ability to listen, learn, and love what you're doing.

I have over 30 years experience in the horse world as a trainer, hunter/jumper show rider, coach, breeder, teacher and mentor. I now use my years of experience with horses, as well as my accumulated knowledge of regulating the nervous system for healing from unresolved trauma, to bring about a beautiful balance of performance, passion, and peace.

Known for helping the "difficult horses", my focus is building a solid foundation of correct bio-mechanics for the body, and a balanced and regulated place for the emotions and mind of both horse and rider, so that each can feel safe, supported, and able to enjoy one another in their daily interactions as well as in their chosen discipline or sport.

If you want a trainer who gets you and your horse, who encourages you with positive tools and feedback, and equips you and your horse for pleasure as well as success, then I'd love to help you and your horse realize the joy of a connected partnership and the excitement of accomplishing goals together.
